Water Treatment Plant Construction
Water Treatment Plants
Northeast Remsco has constructed numerous Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and Upgrades in NJ and NYC. These have included State of the Art Membrane Filter Plants, Traditional Flocc/Sed and DAF Treatment facilities. We also have constructed numerous Combine Heat and Power Facilities in existing plants that run on Digester or Landfill Gas. We self-perform most work including excavation, piling, concrete, mechanical equipment and piping installation. Our team has worked with numerous Owners, both Public and Private thru Low Bid, Design Build and Alternative Delivery Contracts.

Sayreville Pump Station
Flood Mitigation and Permanent Restoration of Sayreville. The project included improvements to the electrical systems and the construction of a perimeter flood wall that was approximately 1,700 feet long and constructed with a designed top elevation of 21 feet above sea level.

Gowanus Facility Upgrade
Install three new submersible pumps to replace the original single propeller configuration, and rehabilitate portions of the 1.15 mile tunnel. The new interchangeable pumps will eliminate shutdowns at low tide and will virtually eliminate shutdowns for maintenance. In addition, the tunnel’s flow capacity will increase from 154 million gallons per day (mgd) to 215 mgd. Major facility upgrades will result in improvements to the water quality of the canal and reduce sewer discharges.
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Date: 2009- 20019
Owner: NYC Department Of Environmental Protection
Oak Glen Water Treatment Plant Expansion
Installed a more robust dissolved air flotation (DAF) clarification system. The entire DAF recycle system (pumps, strainers, piping, saturators and compressors) was updated to be a single system for a total plant design flow of 15 MGD.
